Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Make a Generous Donation to Help Fix The Roof of a Texas Women's Shelter


Prince Harry And Megan Markle continue their mission to be of service to those in need—with a recent donation to a Texas women's shelter. The Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support in Dallas, Texas suffered extreme damage to its roof after extreme weather hit the state last month. Winter storm Uri swept across most of the US and left 3 million Texans without access to power or water.



The shelter announced last Sunday that the couple had made a donation for the shelter's extensive repairs through their nonprofit Archewell Foundation.



"Last week, we were notified that through the actions of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s nonprofit, Archewell Foundation, Prince Harry and Meghan have made a donation to help us get back on our feet," said Genesis founder and CEO Jan Langbein in a press release. More specifically, the (former) royal couple provided funds to repair Annie's House, a transitional housing facility.
